Review: The online shopping experience is intrinsically tied to the moment a package arrives at your door. The Shein Everyday Oversized Blazer arrived in the brand’s standard, frosted zip-lock plastic bag. While the packaging is minimal and utilitarian rather than luxurious, it effectively protects the garment during transit. Upon removing the blazer from the packaging, the first thing to note is the condition of the fabric. As is common with items shipped in tight plastic mailers, the blazer did have several distinct creases and fold lines. However, the garment lacked the harsh chemical scent that can sometimes accompany heavily manufactured fast-fashion items. The initial feel of the fabric was surprisingly substantial. It did not have the flimsy, paper-thin texture that often plagues budget-friendly outerwear. Instead, it possessed a reassuring weight, indicating that it could provide some genuine structure when worn.
